“USERNAME!” by MangoBot7000 strikes a chord about identity

by Sydney Ann Dargent

The new song by MangoBot7000 from Surrey B.C. hits a strong chord about growing up in the digital era. Highlighting the differences between who you are in person and who you are behind a screen. “USERNAME!” expresses the difficulties of growing into your own person and defying the expectations set by others.

MangoBot7000 also manages to perfectly convey the awkwardness in changing how the world views you. As well as the struggle of trying to get others to accept you for you. This song is a  letter to all the people with identity struggles. As well as a reminder that sometimes change is for the better.
